Your Mystery Awaits!

Everyone loves a good mystery.  The drama, the sense of adventure, exciting surprises, they get your heart pumping and make you feel alive!  A review of Rotton Tomatoes best TV shows for 2025 show that at least half offer some form of intrigue or mystery.  NCIS, one of my favorites, has been running for twenty two seasons and has more spin offs than I have time to watch!

Mysteries in Our Families

Although possibly not as dramatic, we all have family mysteries.  Not just the dates, places, or ethnicities, but who they were and what they did.  People like my grandfather, who left his Mississippi home for Texas so his father and  brother could legally deny my grandmother what she deserved.  Or a friend, who could never find any trace of where her grandfather lived until she discovered he was a traveling preacher in North Texas.  Or another friend who discovered that her ancestor spent that terrible winter with George Washington and his troops at Valley Forge. 

While these discoveries may not be as splashy as the season finale of NCIS, they mean more to us because they are about our family.  Learning about our family mysteries gives us a story that we can hardly avoid telling.  The cool thing is that others love hearing our mysteries as much as we love telling them.
